Since I usually taught students who hated math, were behind in math, hated math (which came first?), my greatest joy was seeing their eyes light up when they caught onto a concept that had bedeviled them before.Next best moment is getting thank you notes from parents telling me that student got math for the first time, likes math for the first time, went on to take more math courses not in the original plan.
