About Janet
Master of Science in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago informs my entire approach. Sitting at a desk in a quant research firm, I realized that true understanding comes from mastering coordinate geometry and calculus before rushing into complex functions. This discipline served me well during 8 years of experience in the hedge fund industry.
I have taught 83 students who often struggle with mental math or trigonometry. Seeing someone grasp a difficult concept remains a highlight of my work. My career path shifted from engineering to education after 6 years.
Helping others navigate numerical challenges brings a sense of balance to my day. I appreciate the logic inherent in every equation.
