About Caleb
As a soldier and father, I’ve learned to work patiently with people from all backgrounds and have seen a variety of barriers to learning. I didn’t always understand every topic I studied and had to re-learn many things to be prepared to teach. This helped me figure out the most common places people struggle and filled me with compassion for people who have become frustrated with their studies. I will always try new ways to explain things. Because English is my native language, I’m sure I can find a dozen ways to explain any topic.

I taught mathematics for three years at West Point while completing their Master Teacher Program. As an instructor, I learned to teach young adults from across the country with all different backgrounds and skills. I’m happy to say many of my students pivoted from hating math to choosing it as their major.
I grew up helping my brothers to understand their homework; I tutored soldiers struggling with college algebra; I’ve taught cadets math modeling, calculus, and differential equations; and I teach my own children elementary arithmetic.
