About Dylan

I’ve been studying, writing, and teaching music for years, with experience that spans formal theory, composition, live performance, and modern production. I combine a deep academic foundation—including species counterpoint and advanced harmony—with real-world skills in recording, arranging, and sound design. My students benefit from both practical know-how and a clear, structured teaching approach that actually helps them improve.

About the lesson

I’ve spent years composing, studying music, and exploring everything from species counterpoint to modern electronic production. My studio is packed with inspiring gear—modular synths, a Prophet, Matriarch, Oberheim, Sho-Bud pedal steel, acoustic piano, and shelves of sheet music—so lessons are hands-on and creative. Whether you want to dive into theory, experiment with sound design, or improve your playing, I can guide you with real experience, practical skills, and a relaxed teaching style that meets you where you’re at.

Dylan really is a great teacher. He helped me in all aspects of guitar playing. From just knowing a few random chords he taught me in such a way that I am now familiar with a wide range of chords, scales, techniques and styles of playing. He is patient and teaches at a pace that suits me and keeps me engaged.
