About Cormac

Trading the stock market is a risky business. No one day, month, or year is the same.. I spend much of the working day reviewing charts, refining my process, and reading news to keep abreast of the market and trends. I decided to teach to feel a sense of contribution & to force me to define my processes more clearly! It helps me also bring in a guaranteed income, because results can never be promised in trading.
So, by teaching and giving back, I am able to bring in a steady income & it has given me stability to trade at my best. I'm an easygoing person and it will be a relaxed teaching approach. I will give you an honest look into the world of a day trader, and help you avoid common trading pitfalls.

About the lesson

I have what I truly believe to be a really helpful 5 lesson trader beginner course prepared for you! I have 6 years of day trading experience on US stock markets, some of the most liquid and volatile markets in the world. I also have swing trading strategies. My approach combines technical analysis with 'catalysts'... certain news stories which drive prices. Very little fundamental analysis is covered but earnings/revenues & such do help add credence to my trade ideas. My approach is focused mainly around small-cap stocks (lower-priced stocks) & how news can drive prices, how to capitalize on these moves to the upside but also to the downside (short selling). Will start with basic terminology, how to read price action & volume, recognize common chart patterns and, ultimately, you will learn how to devise a system or 'playbook' of strategies. I'll show you how I treat trading like a business or a profession, how to track your results and analyze performance. Risk management and emotional control techniques are shared. With a science background myself, I bring a methodological approach, understand cause & effect relationships in the markets & how to position yourself for success. You can do individual lessons or a 5 lesson package (1.5 -2hrs per lesson works best) which I recommend. We will tailor the lessons based on your trading preferences & can do follow up sessions weekly or monthly if you want more, where I can offer critique of your trading results and help you to learn from your experiences!

Strengths: Chris has a curiosity and a plan of what he wants from the stock market. He came to me having already tested the waters with some other mentors. I was able to steer him onto some strategies which will most suit his lifestyle and schedule. Where to improve: Nothing as such, he has a good sense of where he is at. As long as he keeps chipping away at the learning curve, refining a couple of trading strategies, he will find himself in a good spot in a few years time, with a bit of luck.
