I am from Honolulu, Hawaii but currently living in Kansas City, Missouri. I have spent many years working as a k-12 math teacher. I completed my Master's in Educational Technology and am nearly finished with my PhD in Educational Technology.

I like to spend time getting to know my students so that I can change my instruction to fit their needs. I usually start our lesson by reviewing what we went over in our previous session and then jumping into practice problems. I like to show my students how to do the first one, then give them guidance in doing the rest on their own.
