About Mae
Coding became my daily reality after completing a General Assembly bootcamp followed by 13 years of industry work. I am a specialist for girls in coding. My students are usually adults learning to code from scratch, or high-schoolers preparing for CS degrees.
I focus on project-based learning and C++ to help students build skills. Problem-solving on coding platforms is a core part of my method.
I also guide learners through APIs and backend basics. JavaScript, SQL and databases, HTML and CSS, Java, and algorithms are areas I teach frequently. Analyzing code structures for long-term growth is what I find most enjoyable.

Since these sessions move quickly, we start by mimicking a real industry environment. My approach is grounded in 4 years of SWE experience and 13 years in the field.
I utilize my degree to explain complex topics like project based learning and C++ clearly. We walk through API design, SQL, and database management during our technical drills.
JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Java fundamentals provide the foundation for our algorithm practice. I emphasize problem solving on coding platforms to ensure you stay sharp under pressure.
