About Robert
Before becoming an English teacher, I worked as an architect for nearly a decade and, prior to that, in another technical job. I have changed my professional focus in recent years to interact more with people in a helpful sort of way. My prior work was very thing-focused: designing buildings or smaller physical objects. I have always found that when I interact with people and focus on communicating ideas rather than making physical things, I am most happy, especially when I am in a position to teach others.
I love the English language, so much so that I write in my spare time, just for fun. I like to play around with words to make them say new things, interesting things, funny things. I am always learning more about how to communicate better and more clearly and I constantly learn new things from the people I teach. Let me share my native language with you!

My strength is reading people and how they express themselves, and finding ways to personalize the way I explain things so that they are both relevant and helpful. Based on where you are coming from and what your goals are regarding English, we can devise a plan that suits your learning style and helps you achieve your goals. Of course, I will be referencing a structured curriculum to make sure we are grounding you in the important fundamentals of the language so that you can understand other English speakers and express yourself naturally. But we will go at your pace and try to make it as engaging and fun as can be while getting our work done. I am also interested in your native language and how it relates to English. Knowing a bit about where you come from will help me make English more accessible. Let's learn how to strengthen our communication skills together!
