About Lauren
I am a TEFL-certified English teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching in China, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and New York City. I’m from New York and spent many years overseas teaching English and working as a translator before returning home. Along with English, I’m also a wine educator, and I enjoy sharing culture and language in engaging ways. I’m friendly, outgoing, and passionate about helping students build confidence while learning about the world through English.

I make learning both fun and focused, tailoring each lesson to my students’ interests while emphasizing conversational English. Having lived abroad in both Asia and Europe for many years, and being fluent in Mandarin Chinese, I understand what it feels like to learn a new language and adapt to a new culture—so I can guide you with patience and real-world experience.
