About Dmitry

I am a TESOL-certified tutor and native-level English speaker with a background in technical and professional fields. My goal is to make every session engaging, practical, and completely customized to your personal pace and career goals.

I offer a free first consultation (in person or online) so we can discuss your learning goals, evaluate your needs, and see if we are a great fit. Flexible lesson packages and scheduling are available.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on practical, real-world communication. Whether you are getting ready for work, moving to another country, traveling, or just want to speak without second-guessing every word, our sessions will help you speak naturally and confidently from day one.

I believe you cannot learn a language by just listening to long lectures. You need to speak. My main goal is for you to do most of the talking, because speaking out loud is the fastest way to build fluency.

I prefer not to interrupt you while you are speaking. Instead, I write your sentences in our chat box along with better, more natural ways to say them. That way, you finish every lesson with your own personal study notes. We fix grammar mistakes directly in our conversations so you can stop translating in your head. We also work on clear American pronunciation so people can understand you easily.

In a typical lesson we always have a clear plan so you make real progress every week.

We start with a friendly chat to warm up your voice and review what we practiced last time. Next, we look at a real-life situation, a short news story, or an everyday topic. Here, we introduce new vocabulary words that replace basic, repetitive words with natural expressions. After that, we practice using these words together through simple roleplays and discussions. Finally, we spend the last few minutes reviewing your chat notes, practicing any tricky sounds, and celebrating your progress.

With me, you will learn natural North American English with standard pronunciation, natural rhythm, and the expressions people actually use today.

I do not just simply follow rigid textbooks or corporate scripts. Every class is shaped around your personal goals, your job, and your daily life. Having worked with many students from different language backgrounds, including Slavic and Asian languages, I understand the common pronunciation traps and grammar habits that can slow you down, and I know how to help you fix them.

These lessons are great for learners from high beginner to advanced levels. They are a great fit for technical workers, managers, and professionals who need clear English for meetings and teamwork. They are also ideal for adults preparing to move abroad or travel, as well as anyone who knows the grammar rules on paper but freezes up when it is time to speak.
