My approach is student-centered, with a focus on the whole student by nurturing, encouraging, challenging, & affirming their process as a human being first, student second. My approach is therapeutic in nature and holds the highest standards of integrity. I teach from multiple viewpoints to encourage balanced understanding, analysis, and critical thinking using the socratic method to empower student voice and exploration of their personal belief system without bias or judgment. Quality over quantity with an emphasis on developing personal academic research skills to foster growth in having an eye, ear, & nose for detecting bias in the media to better navigate the body of information available to students.
