My teaching method will consist of rigorous analysis of poetry that strengthens a student's ability to use figurative language in a test/essay as evidence when writing three main core essays.
Classical fiction will also be used in order to further push a student's experience in complex ideas and societal structures. The AP exam will be used as a point of trajectory as this exam demands a structured knowledge in literature, students will be tested on three main core essays the AP exam demands which are, Synthesis Essays, Rhetorical Analysis Essays, and Argumentative Essays.
Students will be given forty minutes to respond to a prompt that asks for one of the three in order to view the progress of a student.
