I am currently doing my third year at the University of Free State. I am doing teaching which includes the two majors which are English as a first additional language as well as Life Sciences. My teaching method is based on the cognitive perspective by the theorist Piaget. I believe that there is no need for for universal grammar ini 2nd language acquisition. In addition, for 2nd language acquisition learners require knowledge that is constructed through speaking and comprehension.
