About Kayla
Hello! I’m Kayla, Your English and Afrikaans Tutor I’m a third-year B.Ed student with a passion for helping students succeed in English and Afrikaans. Over the years, I have developed a teaching approach that combines structured learning with interactive, engaging methods, making even challenging topics easy to understand. My Tutoring Approach and Lessons
As a passionate third-year B.Ed student, I offer private tutoring in English and Afrikaans tailored to each student’s needs. My approach combines structured teaching with interactive, engaging activities that make learning both effective and enjoyable. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to match individual learning styles, ensuring that concepts are not just memorized but truly understood.
Methodology:
I focus on concept clarity, practical application, and active participation. I use a variety of teaching techniques, including exercises, reading comprehension, writing practice, and conversational activities. What makes me unique is my ability to simplify complex grammar and language rules while keeping lessons interactive and relevant to the student’s everyday experiences.
Languages Offered:
All lessons are conducted in English or Afrikaans, depending on the student’s preference and comfort level.
What to Expect in a Typical Lesson:
A short review of previous material to reinforce learning.
Step-by-step explanations of new concepts with examples.
Interactive exercises to practice reading, writing, and speaking skills.
Personalized feedback and guidance to improve strengths and address challenges.
Homework or additional practice materials to consolidate learning.
Who My Lessons Are For:
I tutor primary and high school students of all levels who want to improve their understanding, confidence, and performance in English or Afrikaans. My lessons are ideal for students preparing for exams, struggling with certain topics, or simply wanting to strengthen their language skills.
