About Sean
I got my B.S. in applied mathematics from UCLA in 2018. I will be getting my master's in applied mathematics from CSUF in May where I received an award for the top (applied math) graduate student. I also have an A.S. in physics. I have experience tutoring algebra, trig, stats, physics, and many calculus-related subjects.

I approach teaching in a very straightforward way. Things are the easiest and most helpful when focusing on problem-solving techniques. I've taken the advice of some world-renowned professors I've had. The best way to learn math is to solve problems. Stick as close to the core definitions as possible, and avoid using analogies to explain concepts. Always make the student an active participant. Repeat problem-solving techniques in many different problems until the student feels confident.
