About ODENYI
I am Promise Daberechukwu Odenyi. This is an individual, whose passion to see that others get it right keeps on the constant look for sincere knowledge-hungry persons. I was trained in the University solely for this purpose- to impact ideas, especially as it concerns English language on the minds of liberal learners. I sincerely want to teach because I have seen the calling need to demystify certain obscurity that has been built around learning, and understanding, especially with great concern for English. I want to bring to learners' awareness the fact that English Language is novel, has a lively and practical dynamism, and is also a decodable communication conduit. I wish to make void, the unseemly cognitive, affective, and psychomotor phobia students have for English.

With my few years of experience as a teacher, I understand that students, especially second language learners of English face serious challenges in both the competence and performance aspects of English Language. Thus, different practicable methods can be adopted to make simple and friendly this subject. Starting from the cradle will help a great deal. The four basic skills- reading, writing, speaking, and listening can be taken singly, with a consistent practice of each one at a given time. Repetition has a way of getting students familiar and at home with exercises. Mnemonics, rhymes, charts, visual and audio images and clips, and other learning aids can be employed in the teaching of these skills. A mastery of these, gives students a leverage to understand other deeper aspects of the language. Private tutorial gives learners and the tutor, the opportunity to know what works best for a learner, and how to go about it. There is a wider recognition of uniqueness of differences, learning speed, etc in private tutorial. Therefore, insightful styles can be used in the course of learning English. In this manner, the success of both the learner(s), and the teacher is assured.
