About Calla

I’m an English tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing in Applied Linguistics. I specialize in English for Academic Purposes and enjoy helping students navigate the demands of university-level communication. My lessons focus on developing strong academic vocabulary and clear, effective writing skills. I guide learners through the process of writing research papers, from understanding prompts to forming arguments and refining clarity. I also help students understand lectures more easily by improving their listening, note-taking, and analytical skills. Many of the students I work with are university learners and international applicants preparing for higher education, and I support them with detailed, structured methods that match academic expectations. I teach essential skills such as referencing, paraphrasing, and summarizing so students can produce original and well-organized work.
