- What kind of experience do you have? I have worked for the Royal College of Music Sparks programme for 3 years teaching trombone and assisting in musicianship and theory lessons. For the same period I have worked in the London Borough of Newham as a tutor for Every Child a Musician, I have taught trombone, trumpet and theory to individuals, small groups and whole classes. Privately I have taught or currently teach trombone, trumpet, cornet, euphonium and tenor horn. I have also been a part of Outreach workshops at the RCM working with children of all ages and abilities. - Where and with whom did you train? I attended Chetham's School of Music for sixth form before studying at the Royal College of Music for my Bachelor of Music degree. Whilst at the College my teachers included Byron Fulcher, Lindsay Shilling, Graham Lee and Richard Edwards. Since graduating I have continued to receive lessons from Denis Wick.

Gordon has been an excellent tutor for my son. He has nurtured his confidence, and taken him to grade 8 distinction at aged 13 and beyond. He is calm, professional, flexible around my son’s needs and, in my son’s words, ‘always knows what to do’. He is an exceptional tutor and I recommend him without hesitation.
