About Doireann
Hello, my name is Doireann and I hope to be your tutor! I am a kind and patient person who enjoys inspiring others through teaching. Although I am thorough in my teaching, I am also patient and empathetic, as I realise every child is different and therefore has different approaches to learning.

I believe in a student-centred approach to tutoring; I wish to teach the student the way they will understand the information best, rather than the general textbook methods which students can find difficult to follow in class. For instance, teaching my students how to write essays step by step, or reading through novels and annotating together as we go so that the student fully comprehends what they are being taught. As I received an A* in English language, and As in English literature, History, and German at GCSE level, as well as an A* in History, an A in English literature, and a B in German at A level, I feel confident that I can assist my students in receiving similar, if not even better, grades. Although I feel qualified to teach GCSE and A level students, I would also be interested in teaching literacy to children of all ages.
