Hi there! My name is João, I'm 28, and I am a Programming tutor here to help you in everything I can! With 4 years of experience as a programming teacher, I am grateful for the opportunity to have assisted over 500 students from all over the world with C, Python, C++, Java, C#, Matlab, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Solidity, etc. My main goal is to help students enhance their technical, personal, and soft skills so that they can succeed both in their academic journey and professional life.

My tuition method is adaptable to the needs and main difficulties of each student. I like above all to help students and, during this process, to create a good friendship. As I always enjoyed helping colleagues during classes, I decided to apply so I could share my knowledge with more people. My aim is to help students to enhance their technical and social skills so they are able to succeed both in their academic and professional career. Many of the students I mentor go on to work as programmers and software development professionals, with others pursuing further study and careers in teaching and research.

Perfect! My 12 year old son is enjoying his sessions with João; he was looking for a coding mentor to help him with projects in a collaborative manner and João is managing this really well. He is also happy that João is not patronising and, after a couple of minutes of friendly chat, establishes a very focused atmosphere.

Perfect! João is by far the best teacher I have ever had! In the span of an hour, he is able to explain and simplify topics that would have taken me weeks otherwise to understand. He is always patient, attentive and easy to talk to. He gives enough time to answer any questions in detail (even the most basic ones) and is incredibly supportive both in and outside of the classroom. I recommend João to explain programming. He helped me a lot in the work that I had to deliver. He always tries to get the student to try for himself to solve the problems and when the student can't, he gives clues and explains it step by step.
Very friendly and professional at the same time. Helped me several times with a programming project.
João is a tutor you can count on! he is always concerned about his students, during class time he always finds several different ways to teach if the student is having difficulty understanding something and if any doubts arise later he is always available to clarify, which shows the concern he has with his students and that he cares about their success.
João is an excellent tutor because he lets us think and do the exercise and then corrects mistakes in a very clear way! Also is really patient.
João has a very relaxed teaching style and can adapt to anyone's learning style too.
He has great knowledge of the subjects and he's an amazing person to keep you motivated to reach your goals!
