About Johnny

I'm Johnny, a recent graduate from UCL with an MSc in Environmental Modelling, having completed a BSc Geography degree at the University of Birmingham. I have a 9 in GCSE Geography, A* in A-Level Geography, and graduated with First-Class Honours in my BSc degree (ranking top in the year) and a Distinction in my MSc degree (making the Dean's List).

I am fascinated by the environment and am passionate about helping others learn and engage with geography. Based on my past experience tutoring a range of students, I understand things can get complicated and the best way to learn is through patient but engaging teaching.

About the lesson

Lessons will be focused on what the student feels they need the most help with, closely following the syllabus. I produce all of my own learning resources, tailoring them to each student and making them available for use outside of our lessons.

I believe the best learning occurs when students are interested and engaged with the content they are being taught, hence I consistently channel my own enthusiasm for the subject into my lessons.

Lesson length: 45 mins - 1.25 hours

Perfect! I have found Johnny to be a very amiable and courteous individual as well as a respectful, knowledgeable and patient teacher, who is able to effectively identify my particular weaknesses and act accordingly. He also clearly plans and structures the content of sessions beforehand. I find his teaching style to be very balanced. He also highlights that, in order for me to make genuine and meaningful improvement, we have to work together effectively. I highly recommend Johnny as a Geography tutor.

Perfect! Johnny is a very easy to talk to tutor. He is very understanding with my daughter (in year 11) if she does not understand the first time , he goes through it again with her until she understands. He is very eager to help and has a very good structure to his sessions . I Would recommend him :)
