About Shahana
I am an Economics honours student at University College London, also currently working as an Editor. I have been helping my friends and family with their letters, resumes, essays and personal statements for many years and this lead me straight into my years of tutoring. My students have all performed to higher than predicted standards in their examinations! I took English as a subject all the way until A levels myself, finishing top of the class so I remember what those exams feel like. I enjoy helping students gain confidence in their language skills, whether that be speaking, reading or writing!

As a student myself, my speciality lies in being able to cater my style of teaching to each tutee, instead of having a formula on how to teach each topic. Some students prefer more structured classes with lesson plans and some prefer to get extra time and help with the lessons they have already. We can figure out together what works best for you! I like to create an environment that takes the pressure off the tutee and encourages them to develop their own interest in the subject rather than being motivated by deadlines. My lessons typically range between 60-90mins, and are suitable for all schooling ages. Whether you are looking for help with your reading or want to perfect your personal statement, I’d love to help!
