I am a Pre-Med Student with a degree in Biology from UCSD
Teaching/Mentoring Experience:
-Tutored a HS Junior in Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus
-Teaching Assistant for 35 UCSD Students in a Biology course
-Head Coach for a 5th grade basketball team
-AVID Tutor for a year in High School

I enjoy structuring my sessions depending on the style that the student learns best in. Whether it be by presenting a summary of the lesson via PowerPoint or rather just working out problems, I will acknowledge how each student learns.
Teaching styles I use:
-Always try to work the student through it rather than telling or giving a straight answer
-I like creating made-up problems/practice tests
-I tend to help the student create study guides before exams
