About Ishaan
I am a UMass Amherst student in the Isenberg School of Management with a strong academic background in math, statistics, and college preparation. I have experience tutoring math and science through school programs and working with younger students as a teaching assistant. I take tutoring seriously and try to create a comfortable environment where students feel supported, respected, and confident asking questions. I understand how stressful schoolwork and exams can feel, so I aim to be patient, organized, and reliable while helping each student improve.

I teach math by focusing on the “why” behind each concept, not just memorizing formulas. In my lessons, I break problems down step by step and explain the reasoning behind each method so students actually understand what they are doing. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence as they improve. Whether we are working on homework, preparing for a test, or reviewing difficult topics, my goal is to make math feel clearer, less stressful, and easier to approach.
