About Amanda
I’m an enthusiastic English and literacy tutor with a genuine zeal for helping people reach their full potential. I am a law student who understands the importance of balance in life. What I mean by this, is once you work hard, you must also play hard. I want to teach because it is a fulfilling experience to watch students excel and also to learn and understand their strengths and weaknesses so I can personalise the learning to suit their needs and abilities. I strive for success and I wholeheartedly believe everyone is capable of achieving that, so as long as they are willing to learn as I am willing to teach!

My prospective lessons don’t just centre around how much experience I have but rather the fact that I genuinely care about helping my students succeed and grow in their learning journey. I celebrate progress and reward it accordingly but at the same time I correct mistakes honestly and help you rectify them in order to be sound in the English language. My approach is supportive but honest and respectful, I believe all students need encouragement and confidence especially from someone who believes in them. As a Law student, I regularly work with complex texts and develop arguments through clear and structured communication. Also, I believe my love for English is a key factor in aiming for success for my students. It stemmed from when my parent read to me every night as a child. Because of my lifelong love of reading and language, I want to help students discover that English does not have to be a scary or boring process.
