About Aaliyah
I am currently an undergraduate mathematics student. Maths has always been a great passion of mine and something that I believe every student has the potential to do well in.
When I was in sixth form I tutored the high school students in maths and had great fun doing it. I especially enjoyed seeing them improve and seeing them proud of themselves.
Everyone learns differently so I tailored my lessons to suit each of them.

My lessons are based on what they are learning in school and what they tell me they need help with.
The sessions are structured as such:
- explanation of the method used
- having the student explain it back to me in their own words as this helps with they’re own understanding of the topic,
- asking if they have any questions
- going through questions with them
- setting small worksheets to do in their own time.
This is the method that I find has helped most of the high school students I have tutored. Of course this structure can change based off of what is best for your child!
