About Nadia
I have not always loved maths. In fact I was thrown into it by complete accident. My love for it came when I started to understand it and, by the end of my GCSE’s, was finding it immensely gratifying to get questions correct because I knew what I was doing. So much so that I chose the subject for A-Levels and then further for my degree.
Exams are hard, but I am here to support you in what you feel you need to learn, all in addition to ensure you get the most out of your lessons in school by understanding what your teacher is teaching.

My approach to tutoring starts and ends with practice questions. One of the best ways of learning for me was to go through every question I could, understand the method, and apply it to any question given to me in an exam. My greatest philosophy with the STEM subjects is ‘Method is the same’, once you learn it once, it can be applied anywhere.
Therefore, in our hour long lessons, we will start with what the student feels like they need to understand more, going through questions together until they feel confident to do them by themselves. This then develops into finding other areas that may need some practice until the student feels confident to succeed with their goals.
I have been volunteer tutoring for the past year, and my students have both drastically improved their understanding and confidence by doing this.
