About Silvia
Hello! I’m Silvia and I’m an undergraduate student at the University of St Andrews where I study Geography and Comparative Literature. I grew up as an international student living in Belgium, where I completed my GCSEs and IB diploma. I learned a lot of different techniques that helped me become a high-achieving student and I want to pass these tips and tricks on to others through tutoring. Getting through secondary school can be tricky at times, so that’s why we’re going to tackle those hard subjects and topics together!

My goal is to build confidence so that every student can reach their full potential. I coach students so that they can learn to identify their own strengths and weaknesses, and feel confident in knowing how to address them in their work. Tutorials will be very interactive and engaging, working towards ‘hacking the mark scheme’ so every student knows exactly what the examiner expects.
A typical tutoring session will be an hour long. We will break down essential information from the syllabus and then apply it to past paper questions to practice writing responses and exam tips and tricks.
I tutor for (I)GCSE students of any age.
