About Anneke
I was classically educated through a mix of rigorous homeschooling, local classes, and an online private school. I am currently taking an undergraduate degree in English with a concentration in literature. Besides teaching ESL classes for a local church, I also have experience teaching Sunday school and piano lessons for students in my area. I have also worked as a school mentor, helping students with academic, social, and personal difficulties.
Outside of classrooms, I enjoy reading, creative writing, long walks in the woods, and good tea.

I have been trained according to the classical education model and therefore will rely as much as possible on Socratic dialogues and critical, original thinking to help students understand both material and methodology. As an English student myself, I am passionate about helping others to understand and enjoy the language and literature. I am willing to work with different learning styles and experiment to find the best approach for your particular challenges. I have experience with native speakers and ESL students, and I am eager to continue serving others through my knowledge.
