About Max
Achieving a 9 or A** in both English Literature and Language at GCSE level and an A*in English Literature in my A-levels, I know how to maintain high levels of achievement whilst also thoroughly enjoying the subject. English literature, whether it be fiction or non-fiction, poetry or plays are places where creativity, humanity and pure, raw emotion reside. It would be a catastrophic shame if English was seen as simply a requirement in the curriculum, for it is SO much more.

English has always been a major passion of mine. I would love to help foster this passion in other students. Having tutored fellow students from the younger years in Sixth Form, I developed an open and flexible lesson style, spanning from the interpretation of text to the writing of essays and personal statements. Sessions typically last an hour, but if the student is willing to continue then so am I! I am comfortable teaching all ages up to A-Level.
