About Ella-Sophia
I am a student who is from Hong Kong, I am not fluent in Mandarin but I have lived the majority of my life in Asia. Because I'm not a native I understand how difficult it is to learn and know how and what to teach beginner level students. I studied English Lit, Drama, Religious Studies, Classical Civilizations and Mandarin (Pre-U) for my A-levels.

I'll start each lesson with a small vocabulary quiz, depending on the student anywhere from 5-10 words long, and teach vocabulary and speaking based around certain topics (like fruits or colours or sports) as each class will slowly begin to become more advanced. I believe jumping straight in is a good way to start teaching a language but bear in mind Mandarin, in particular, is a very nerve-wracking subject to learn if you don't know much about it.

If I have a lesson cancelled without anywhere from 24-3 hours notice I will still be charged the money, and if transport costs anymore than $8 then (although not compulsory and fully optional) if it could be added to my payment.
