About Chelsea
I am currently in my second year at UCT and am studying law. I matriculated in 2022 and took a gap year in which I worked on the summer camps in America. I am a very dedicated person and always put 110% into everything I do. In high school I participated in programs such as peer tutoring and was enrolled in Advanced Math which I got a distinction for. Additionally I took Life Sciences, Physical Sciences and Math in High School. I Matriculated with 3 subject distinctions and a 75% average. Last year, at UCT, I made Dean's merit list and ended my 2024 academic year with 73% average.

I focus on prioritizing understanding of methods as opposed to memorizing as the goal is for the student to develop a conceptual knowledge which can be applied to a wide range of questions. My teaching style is highly adaptive and am able to adjust specifically to each child's learning style. Typical lesson: Review of previously discussed topic Introduce new topic and do a few examples Give the student exercise to work on while I mark homework exercises given by me from previous session so I am able to provide feedback. Give out and explain current session's homework
