I have a Masters degree in Applied Ocean Science
I have 4 years of tutoring experience here in South Africa

I prefer to ask the student what he/she is struggling with and focus rather on that issue. I always try make the subject more relatable by using alternative examples. As a check mechanism, I always ask the student to explain their own work to me as if I was their student. This ensures that they do indeed understand the content.
