About Kellie
Having a backgrond in classical music I have also had to learn different languages and different ways to pronounce sounds. I respect the process which every student must go through and I am patient and kind. My approach to teaching is student centred. It's about what the student needs. I am most experienced teaching ESL students with an intermediate to advanced level of English as I feel they can get the most out of what I have to offer. A typical lesson plan depends on the needs of the indivdual student. Often for a first free 30 minute class I will asses the student's level, find out about who they are as people and I will build a lesson plan based on what they want to get out of my lessons. For instance if a student wants to work on pronunciation. Slow careful work reading and doing phonetic work will give what is needed. The point is, I listen to what the student wants to learn as they know what they need.
