About Matt
I’m a Registered Nurse, university lecturer, and clinical facilitator. My clinical background is critical care and forensic mental health.
I’ve also worked as an investigator looking into complaints about health practitioners and reviewing serious incidents and deaths in health services. That side of the work is useful for the topics students often find murky: documentation, scope of practice, mandatory notifications, the Mental Health Act 2016 (Qld), and what actually happens when things go wrong.
My tutoring is focused on understanding concepts rather than memorising them. I break topics down step by step and use clinical examples to connect theory with practice.

Lessons are usually 60 minutes and cover the subject, module or unit you are seeking tutoring for. I’ve also recruited and interviewed new graduates, so I offer interview preparation with practice questions and feedback.
