About Alice
Hi, thanks for visiting my page! I’m an experienced tutor, MBA graduate and Adjunct Lecturer at Exeter University, where I teach business and people-centred subjects. I am also a PhD researcher in authenticity, professional identity and neurodivergence, which informs a lot of how I teach and support learners. Before moving into academia and commercial leadership, I worked as a former employment lawyer, specialising in workplace issues and employee relations. I’ve also founded several businesses, giving my tutoring a strong practical, real-world edge. I am neurodivergent, and this experience shapes my approach to working with students. I understand that people learn in different ways, and I’m committed to creating a supportive, flexible environment. I’m very comfortable working with SEND learners, especially those who benefit from clear structure, patient guidance and tailored strategies. This blend of academic, legal and commercial experience allows me to explain concepts clearly, connect theory to practice and help students develop real confidence in the subject. I support you with academic writing, critical thinking, exam preparation and structuring strong, analytical arguments. I provide optional resources, practice questions and clear feedback between sessions to help you progress quickly. My style is supportive, encouraging and straight-talking — you’ll always leave a session knowing exactly what’s going well and what to focus on next.
