About Gemma
I provide lessons to:
Any age
Anyone who wants to learn an instrument
Anyone who needs help with confidence
Anyone who needs help with their performances for GCSE or A-Levels.
For the first lesson:
I will ask you to complete a little task covering a basis of topics. The first questions are what you wish to get out of the lessons, what you know you enjoy, don't enjoy, how you learn best and when is best for you (in terms of lessons).
Then there will be a list of questions that could come up in a theory exam (or reading sheet music if that is your aim).
Then in each lesson I will outline the objectives and try and make the lessons suited to your preferences in learning.
Throughout the lessons I will make sure you still understand, and make sure to be as differential as I can! I understand what it's like to feel like you're not getting anywhere, but that's why I am here to help!

I am a musician who plays Clarinet and Saxophone and a lover of music theory and musicology. I've helped students learn and develop their instrumental and theoretical understanding and hope to help others, too!
I am currently studying towards my Music Theory diploma so also understand that there will be different ways needed in order to learn the content.
