About Mursalin
I'm Mursalin, a second-year Industrial Economics student at the University of Nottingham - a Russell Group university - where I've completed my first year with strong results across both quantitative and qualitative modules. Before university, I attended Bedford Modern School where I achieved an A in A-Level Economics and am currently studying the subject at degree level, alongside A-Levels in Psychology (A*) and Mathematics (B), and ten GCSEs including a Grade 8 in Maths.
I've always enjoyed explaining things clearly and helping people understand concepts that initially seem daunting. Outside of academics, I appeared on ITV's The Chase in 2026, which speaks to my ability to think quickly, stay calm under pressure and communicate confidently: qualities I bring into every tutoring session.
I'm reliable, punctual and genuinely invested in my students' progress. I understand the pressure of exams because I've been through them recently myself, so I know what works when it comes to building confidence and improving grades. I'm based in Bedford and available for both in-person and online sessions, with flexible scheduling around evenings and weekends.

I tailor every session around what the student actually finds difficult rather than just re-reading textbook content. Economics and Business Studies are subjects where real-world examples make all the difference: I connect theory to current events and everyday scenarios so concepts genuinely click rather than just being memorised for the exam.
Sessions typically last one hour. I start by revisiting any problem areas from the previous session, introduce or reinforce a concept with clear explanation and real-world context, then move into guided practice using past paper questions from the relevant exam board. I finish with a brief recap and set a focused task for the week ahead so progress carries between sessions.
I place particular emphasis on exam technique: especially for longer-answer evaluation and analysis questions where most marks are lost. I teach students how to structure responses, use key terminology naturally, and build arguments that examiners actually reward.
I'm a second-year Industrial Economics student at the University of Nottingham with an A in A-Level Economics and currently studying economics at degree level. My lessons are aimed at GCSE and A-Level students looking to strengthen their understanding, sharpen their exam technique and improve their grades in Economics or Business Studies. I'm patient, clear and happy to go over things as many times as needed.
