About Sam
I am a recent graduate with two degrees from the University of Oxford: BA Archaeology and Anthropology, MSc Cognitive and Evolutionary Anthropology. I spent a year working as a teaching assistant in one of the UK's top academic schools. I also have significant tutoring experience preparing pupils for UK 11+ and 13+ entrance exams. Finally, I have experience working on International Summer Schools working with pupils from a wide range of nationalities.

There is something truly wonderful when a student grasps a concept that you've been explaining to them, suddenly they are able to see how new and old ideas fit together. Watching them then use the new knowledge and skills that I've taught them to overcome problems that they may have previously found challenging or even impossible is incredibly rewarding as a tutor. It is also always so interesting to build a rapport with a tutee, learning about what their interests are, and how best they learn, which allows me as a tutor to adapt what I'm teaching in a way and context to help better engage them and improve understanding.
