About Ella

Hello! I'm Ella, a final year undergraduate reading Music at the University of Oxford. I've always enjoyed helping people learn and my first priority is to create a friendly teaching environment in which you feel comfortable and confident learning. While I am available to help you get through exams and application processes, I firmly believe that learning is much broader than this and will endeavour to provide a more rounded approach.

About the lesson

I have previously tutored in Music (9), English Literature (9), and Language (9) to GCSE level and took English Literature (A*), History (A*) and Music (A*) A level. I am able to help with any component of the Music GCSE and A level course (composition, performance, score analysis, essay writing etc.) as well as essay writing skills more generally for English A level and specifically for Edexcel A level History.

I also really enjoy helping students going through the Oxbridge application process with personal statement writing and interview advice. As something that can be daunting, I aim to make application more appraochable and accessible. This also includes advice for choral scholarships.

I am also able to help students with musical awareness beyond exam curriculum, bridging the gap between school and university.

My timings are flexible, although most lessons will last an hour in length.
