About Shannon

Hi! I’m Shannon, a Psychology student at The University of Nottingham, and I previously achieved an A* in A Level Psychology. I’m passionate about Psychology and believe the subject should be taught in a way that connects theory to real-life examples, helping students engage with the material deeply while also mastering exam skills.

With over 4 years of tutoring experience, I’ve worked with students of all ages and abilities, helping them understand content clearly and develop effective exam techniques. My tutoring background includes formal work with a company as well as private sessions on Superprof, which has allowed me to refine a variety of revision methods tailored to different learning styles.

Currently, I’m aiming for a career in forensic psychology, so I bring both academic knowledge and real-world passion to my lessons. I’m approachable, patient, and committed to making Psychology accessible and interesting, with a focus on building confidence and critical thinking.

My lessons are tailored specifically for AS, A-Level, and GCSE Psychology students, designed to fit your individual learning style and goals. With a strong understanding of the material and essay structures, I can help you focus on particular topics or exam skills you want to improve.

Having achieved an A* in A Level Psychology and averaging a First Class going into my final year of a Psychology degree, along with extensive tutoring experience, I adapt my teaching approach to suit each student’s needs — whether that means breaking down complex theories, practicing exam techniques, or refining essay writing skills.

As a passionate university student with a genuine love for Psychology, I bring patience, friendliness, and dedication to every session, helping you build confidence and achieve your full potential.
