About Kayleigh

I have recently completed a placement year at a Domestic Violence agency in Surrey. I was able to draft and read legal documentation in a busy and high pressure environment and evaluate them for court.

This ensured I was constantly checking sentence structure of statements, grammar and drafting paperwork to an exceptional standard for our clients. I was promoted to working in the 'pro bono' department where I acted as an assistant and was responsible for carrying out an array of document proof reading, paperwork approval and took two of the interns under my wing to train them without any guidance or supervision.

I received excellent feedback for my professionalism, attention to detail and passion for helping the interns to excel their own beliefs and to thrive in their role. I have excellent communication skills and listening skills, of which allow me to truly understand what my clients in the past have needed from me and I wish to extend this to tutoring. Therefore, I feel that I could offer a student a very personal, hands on and tailored tutoring experience where they will feel listened to and supported at all times.

About the lesson

Hello there! I am merely a couple of months away from embarking on my final year of studying Law with Criminology at the wonderful University of Surrey.

I have always been very passionate about English and studied English Literature and Language at A Levels. Although I no longer study English specifically, I spend a lot of time reading books, articles and journals online. I feel strongly that English is fundamental to (nearly) all subjects in higher education and getting it spot on is not easy.

As well as offering assistance with GCSE - A Level Law or Criminology, I will happily spend time going through your essay structure, grammar and punctuation, as well as generally advising you on how you can improve your grade in your coursework or exams.

As stated above, I aim to offer help within English, be that literature or language - Please see my other listing for specific English assistance if this is what you are struggling with.

I aim to mainly focus on law or criminology (perhaps sociology as they are somewhat linked) within these tutorials. I am still in education and I believe that I myself am still learning, this allows me to harness in on my own, relevant learning methods to share this with other students alike.

I am very enthusiastic, positive and have a can-do attitude. I am to provide help online, through drop-box and slack (I can explain this in detail if interested) as well as being available to email 24/7 to have ease of communication - I can offer Skype conversations if you do require this, however, I travel a fair bit and this will not always be my first point of contact.

As well as this, I aim to get to know you in order to understand what it is you wish to obtain from the tutoring and so you can create your own achievable goals with my guidance, as well as pushing yourself to achieve higher goals. I would like to hone in on the existing skills you have and develop them, in order to see how far you have come.
