About Taya
I am a violin tutor with over 7 years of experience and a Graduate Diploma in Violin Pedagogy. My lessons integrate music theory, aural skills, and sight reading into practical violin practice. I specialize in preparing students for music theory exams and advancing their understanding of harmony. Scales, intervals, and harmonic exercises are taught through bowing and fingering techniques. I work with exam candidates and students aiming to strengthen musical fluency. Lessons balance technical proficiency with theoretical understanding. Sight reading and ear training are emphasized to build confidence. I guide students in phrasing, dynamics, and expressive playing. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level and goals. I help students connect theory with practical performance. Lessons encourage independence, skill, and musical insight. My approach nurtures well-rounded violinists. Together, we develop both technical mastery and deep musical knowledge.

My teaching method focuses on developing accurate intonation and pitch recognition. Drone exercises help students strengthen their aural skills. I emphasize playing in tune across all positions. Lessons are designed for aspiring pop stars and classical vocalists. I integrate finger placement, bowing, and phrasing with pitch-focused practice. Students learn to listen attentively and self-correct in real time. Scales, arpeggios, and melodic patterns reinforce precise intonation. Tone quality and expressive playing are key elements of my approach. Lessons are interactive, motivating, and build confidence. I ensure each note is clear, resonant, and musically expressive. Every session is tailored to the student’s skill level. I aim to create violinists who play with accuracy and musicality. Together, we make your violin sing with precision and beauty.
