About Isabelle

Hi! My name is Isabelle, and I am currently a student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), studying Theatre and Film! I have always had a passion for creativity, storytelling, communication, and connecting with others. My background in theatre and film has allowed me to develop strong skills in reading comprehension, script analysis, writing, critical thinking, and self-expression, all of which I love incorporating into my approach to teaching English.

Outside of academics, I am an active member a sorority at UNLV. Being involved in Greek life has helped me strengthen my leadership, teamwork, communication, and time-management skills. Balancing my education, extracurricular activities, and other responsibilities has taught me the importance of staying organized, being dependable, and building meaningful connections with people from different backgrounds.

One of my favorite things about studying theatre and film is exploring how language can bring stories to life, express emotions, and connect people. I believe English is so much more than grammar rules and essays. It is a way to express yourself, share your ideas, and understand the world around you. I hope to bring that same excitement and creativity into my tutoring sessions!

As a tutor, I want to be someone my students can feel comfortable with, whether they need extra help understanding an assignment or simply want to become more confident in their abilities. I consider myself outgoing, patient, approachable, and enthusiastic, and I believe learning is most effective when students feel supported rather than intimidated.

I look forward to sharing my love for language, writing, and storytelling while helping students achieve their academic goals!

As an English tutor, my goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to each student's individual needs, strengths, and learning style.

My lessons typically begin with a quick review of previous material, followed by an introduction to new concepts and interactive practice. Whether we are working on reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, essay writing, or literary analysis, I focus on breaking down challenging topics into simple, understandable steps. I also encourage students to think critically and develop their own ideas rather than simply memorizing information.

What sets me apart is my patience, enthusiasm, and ability to connect with students. As a current college student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, I understand the challenges of academic life and the importance of having someone who can explain difficult concepts in a relatable way. I strive to make learning enjoyable while helping students become more independent and confident.

My tutoring services are designed for elementary, middle, and high school students who need additional support in English, reading, or writing. I can also assist with homework, essay organization, proofreading, and developing stronger study habits.
