Teaching has allowed me to work with many types of people in different subject areas, all over the country and world. People, and how they think, have been my inspiration for more than two decades. Each person engages the world uniquely, and I enjoy the process of cultivating thought.

Each student's goals and needs are unique; I incorporate a number of strategies to best help each person meet their goals. I regularly assess (informally and formally) to gather feedback and inform the next steps, and I aim for success (rather than emphasize failure and weakness). Positivity, particularly within the realms of math and science, has proven to help maintain open minds and fast-track the learning process. I have taught math and science to young children all the way up to entry-level college adults, and I have found much interconnectedness along all levels.
