About Scott
Greetings and thank you for taking the time to view my profile! I have been tutoring students since I was a high school student myself at age 16. Since then, I have worked for many tutoring companies as well as conducted business as a private tutor. I have recently started teaching math classes remotely so instead of just tutoring the material I am actually presenting it to the student in a way that can be understood. Many of the students that I have worked with over the years have had a learning disability of some kind. If your student deals with ADHD, dyslexia, or other processing disorders then you have found the right tutor for your student. After working with students for so many years, I have developed the patience to work with any student to help them succeed in mathematics. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics from Sonoma State University in 2018, which gave me such a strong foundation in mathematics. Then I obtained my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State Teach which is based out of CSU Fullerton in 2020. With years of experience behind me, I know that I could be the right tutor for your family!

My teaching method is always based upon the knowledge I gained from my Teaching Credential program.
Usually lessons begin by working through concepts that the student may currently be having difficulty with. If time allows for it, I will advance the student's knowledge by introducing the next lesson in the sequence.

Scott is an excellent teacher. He is very friendly and I feel like I really know him after only a few lessons. He is also very helpful. I’ve done significantly better on tests since I started working with him.
I first met Scott when I was in 9th grade trying to pass Algebra. Working through all of the formulas and operations in this class was very difficult as somebody with ADHD. Scott was able to slow things down and take the time to explain each concept thoroughly. I ended up passing the class, but only because of Scott's help!
