About Isla
My passion for violin began with a deep connection to classical music and instrumental expression. This led me to complete a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance followed by a Master of Music in Strings Studies. Over the past 6 years, I have worked with students of different ages, helping them build strong foundations and performance confidence. Teaching violin allows me to combine discipline with artistic expression.
I enjoy helping students develop both technical precision and emotional expression in their playing. My teaching style focuses on patience, clarity, and structured progression. I guide students step by step so they can build confidence and avoid tension while playing. Every lesson is designed to support steady growth and musical understanding.
Outside teaching, I continue to practice, perform, and study violin repertoire. These experiences help me bring depth and freshness into my lessons. Watching students grow from beginners into confident musicians is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I am committed to helping learners develop strong musical skills and lasting confidence.

My violin lessons focus on helping students develop both technical control and musical expression. I teach posture, bow control, finger placement, intonation, rhythm accuracy, tone production, and expressive phrasing. Special attention is given to building a relaxed and natural playing technique that prevents tension and supports long-term progress. Each lesson is designed to help students grow steadily while enjoying the learning process.
Lessons are adapted to each student’s experience and learning needs. Beginners focus on posture, open strings, basic finger patterns, and simple melodies. Intermediate students develop tone quality, shifting, vibrato introduction, and musical expression. Advanced learners work on performance preparation, interpretation, advanced bowing techniques, and repertoire development. Students preparing for exams or performances receive structured guidance and practice strategies. Continuous feedback helps ensure consistent improvement.
Learning violin requires patience, focus, and encouragement. My lessons create a calm and supportive environment where students can build confidence step by step. As skills develop, learners often become more expressive and comfortable performing. My goal is to help students develop strong violin skills while enjoying their musical journey.
