About Emily
I am a violin tutor with 10 years of experience and a PhD in String Performance. I enjoy helping students transform consistent practice into confident performances through supportive teaching and personalized guidance.
My lessons are structured to match each learner's ability while encouraging musical expression and technical growth. I believe every student can develop lasting confidence with patience, encouragement, and meaningful practice.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing chamber music, researching violin history, and exploring different interpretation styles. These experiences help me bring depth, creativity, and real performance experience into every lesson.

My violin lessons help students build strong technical skills while enjoying the beauty of music at every stage. We focus on posture, bow control, finger accuracy, rhythm, intonation, tone quality, listening skills, and relaxed movement through practical exercises that encourage steady improvement and confidence.
As students advance, we practice scales, shifting, vibrato, expressive phrasing, ensemble performance, sight reading, and concert preparation. I also teach visualization, silent practice, and focused warm-up routines that improve performance while helping learners stay relaxed and prepared.
My goal is to help every student perform with confidence, musical understanding, and technical excellence. Every lesson develops discipline, creativity, and appreciation for the expressive possibilities of the violin.
