About Freya

I am a passionate violin instructor with 12 years of teaching experience and a Licentiate of Music in Violin. My approach blends classical tradition with creative expression, helping students discover both technical mastery and personal musical voice. I focus on developing strong bowing technique, expressive vibrato, elegant phrasing, and nuanced interpretation across a variety of styles. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, whether it is performing, preparing for exams, or exploring creative improvisation. I provide comprehensive ABRSM and Trinity exam preparation, ensuring students are confident and well-prepared for every level. Orchestral coaching is also a key part of my teaching, giving learners the skills to thrive in ensemble settings. I believe in fostering a supportive and motivating environment where students feel encouraged to take risks and grow. Lessons are engaging, interactive, and designed to build both skill and musicality. My goal is to help every student develop a love for the violin while achieving their highest potential.
