About Datrutvi

I am a professionally trained singer-songwriter and vocal coach, trained in both Indian classical music and Western contemporary vocals. I have prepared students for Rockschool and Trinity Performance exams, supporting them in developing both technical ability and performance readiness.

I began singing at the age of six, and over time developed a deep, intuitive understanding of the voice as both an instrument and a form of expression.

I teach because I know how powerful it is when someone begins to feel at home in their own voice. My work is about helping singers build that relationship from the very beginning, with clarity, patience, and confidence.

About the lesson

Personalised sessions designed for those just starting to explore their voice.

My coaching creates a supportive, encouraging space where you can build confidence, develop solid foundations, and enjoy singing without pressure. Sessions are paced to suit you, with clarity and patience at every step.

I can help you with:
- Vocal technique (breath control, range, tone, pitch)
- Building confidence
- Performance skills
- Understanding your unique sound
- Simple song interpretation

My approach is focused and honest, helping you grow in a way that feels natural and sustainable.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Datrutvi for many years as a musician and my teacher. Her dedication to see her students develop is very encouraging. She guided me through complicated vocal exercises with ease making sure all my doubts are clear. I’d definitely recommend all levels of students to learn with her!
